Apple Watch Series 10 new smartwatch features: AI reduces wind noise and improves call clarity

IT Home reported on September 11 Technology media MacRumors reported yesterday (September 10) that Apple’s Apple Watch Series 10 smartwatch also has a voice isolation function, which can make users’ voices clearer when they make calls. Apple’s official introduction is as follows. :Apple Watch Series 10 Battery

Battery life should exceed 18 hours

The performance of Apple’s flagship wearable device has been significantly improved this year, but when can it reach multi-day use?

For iPhone, the voice isolation setting can already be used during calls, but all four iPhone 16 models have added wind noise reduction. Apple said that it uses machine learning algorithms to reduce wind noise to improve audio quality, but the specific effect still needs to wait for actual test results to verify its improvement over the previous generation of iPhones.

In addition to the updated display and beautiful new case options (the new polished titanium and deep black aluminum look great), Apple Watch has also gained a new health feature: heart rate detection sleep apnea. This isn’t unique to the Apple Watch Series 10, as last year’s Series 9 will also have it, but it was still a highlight of Apple’s presentation and another example of how they want you to wear your watch 24/7.

The only problem?

Apple Watch Series 10 Battery

Battery life is still rated at 18 hours, and 36 hours in power save mode (just half the claimed battery life of the Apple Watch Ultra 2). That means if I woke up at 7am and put my watch on, it would be dead overnight. Of course, the reality is not as extreme as I make it out to be. Although Apple has claimed since the Apple Watch was first released in 2015 thatApple Watch Series 10 Battery

battery life is rated at 18 hours, recent models, despite changes like the always-on display, are

Apple Watch Battery

battery life can easily exceed that. It’s not unreasonable to wear it all day and all night to track your sleep, then charge it in the morning to be ready for the next day. Apple has focused on fast charging in its latest models to make it more viable: the Series 10 charges to 80% in just 30 minutes, which reminds me of the Series 10. If Apple said so Apple Watch Series 10 Battery

How excited are we about three days of battery life? Even reaching the Apple Watch Ultra’s 36 hours of battery life is an achievement, because in the real world, you’ll probably get closer to two days. As always, though, Apple made the Series 10 thinner. Of course, comfort is everything when it comes to wearables, but personally, I’d trade a 1mm reduction in thickness (about a 9% change) for a larger, more durable device. Apple Watch Series 10 Battery.

Instead, we’re faced with faster loading times, which no doubt have an impact. It’s easy to imagine a world where you wake up, put your Apple Watch on the charger for 45 minutes, get ready for the day, and then don’t think about it until the next morning. But that’s just another opportunity to think about what you should wear on your wrist. Overnight charging isn’t necessarily the best option, but having to charge it every day can still be frustrating. I just wish I had an Apple Watch that I could forget about and just put it on the Apple Watch battery charger every few days. Maybe next year.

Huawei Watch GT4 review: Perfect

The Huawei Watch GT4 is the company’s best smartwatch yet, with great looks and even better performance

Huawei’s recent refocus on wearables has been mixed. There are some models we like, and some we don’t. Fortunately, the Huawei Watch GT4 falls into the former category and is definitely one of our favorites so far.

Speaking of the app, I’m also not a big fan of the watch face selection interface. It’s poorly designed, the fonts are weird, and while there are a lot of watch face options, many of them are not free. The pre-installed watch faces on the watch do look good, and the added customizability is nice, but I wish it was a little more varied.

Huawei Watch GT 4 review: verdict

Beyond that, the Huawei Watch GT4 is an excellent smartwatch. Not only does it look great, it’s also very accurate, has a wealth of health and fitness features, and has excellent

Huawei Watch GT4  batterylife.

Yes, there are a few odd issues here and there, but if you’re looking for a smartwatch that performs as well as it looks, there aren’t many that can rival it at this price. . In keeping with the GT4’s self-proclaimed “fashion-forward” design approach, though, there are plenty of other styles to choose from. A new Stay Fit app has been added for more effective tracking of calorie intake and expenditure, and new sports modes – football, padel and esports. There are new watch faces here too, with enhanced customizability via complications.

All of this is in addition to the usual Huawei wearable features, of course. The watch monitors your steps, sleep, stress, heart rate and skin temperature, as well as blood oxygen saturation. It tracks over 100 different exercises, and has adaptive running training plans for 3km, 5km, 10km, half marathon and marathon distances. Huawei Watch GT4  batteryreview: What we like about it?

In short, the biggest strength of the Huawei Watch GT4 is its accuracy. I haven’t had a lot of time with the watch so far – I’ve only worn it for 26km so far – but the results I’ve seen are impressive. As usual, I compared its results to a chest strap (MyZone MZ-Switch), and the GT4’s average heart rate differed from that of the chest strap by just 1.35%.

A similar story was told with satellite positioning accuracy. I compared the distance recorded by the Huawei Watch GT4 to that of a Stryd Wind treadmill during the same series of runs, and found an average difference of just 1.07%. These results are impressive, the best I’ve seen from a Huawei wearable, and among the best I’ve tested. Clearly Huawei’s new GNSS technology is working, which uses beamforming to compensate for the fact that the position of the watch’s antenna relative to satellite signals is always changing. Battery life is also excellent. As I mentioned, I haven’t had much opportunity to fully test its use, but after using GPS for about 3 hours and 40 minutes and disabling the watch’s always-on display feature, I was able to use it for about 7 days before needing to charge.

It’s good to see Huawei wearables are gradually catching up with industry standards in terms of third-party accessibility. Like the Huawei Watch, the Watch GT4 can connect with both Android and Apple phones, but the ability to sync with Strava and Komoot is a relatively new addition and is much appreciated in that regard.

Huawei certifies Watch Ultimate 2, supports UWB and satellite SMS

Huawei has certified a new smartwatch called Watch Ultimate 2 with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which supports UWB and satellite SMS. The Chinese OEM is conducting pre-launch testing of its flagship wearable and may unveil it at its upcoming fall launch event.

Weibo tipster @WHYLAB revealed that Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 has been certified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and supports satellite SMS. The wearable has appeared on the certification website with the model number WDS-B19 and also supports ultra-wideband.

It is worth mentioning that the WDS-B19 device has been spotted in the SDPPI database with the name “Watch GT Ultimate”. Now, new news suggests that the device may be launched in the market as Huawei Watch Ultimate 2.

The latest listing does not highlight any major details of this wearable. However, the listing shows that this smartwatch will support Beidou satellite SMS as well as ultra-wideband (UWB).

Ultra-wideband (UWB) is a wireless communication technology. It has the characteristics of high bandwidth, low power consumption, etc., and mainly operates through radio waves. Using this feature, the device can ensure better short-range communication.

On the other hand, the Beidou satellite SMS function allows users to send or receive messages via satellite when there is no network area. So, whether there is a mobile phone signal or not, you can stay in touch with your contacts in an emergency.

The source further said that the previous generation Ultimate watch was a durable smartwatch. But the upcoming wearable device may adopt the new HarmonyOS software system, which is more efficient and reliable. Huawei has not yet confirmed these details. Huawei Watch Ultra

The previous generation smartwatch uses a 1.5-inch LTPO OLED screen and has a 100-meter diving-level waterproof function. It is the first smartwatch to support two-way satellite SMS communication. It also supports various exercise modes and health functions.

It is worth watching what upgrades the upcoming Ultimate watch will bring.

Amazfit GTR 4 review: The king of budget smartwatches

It’s hard to justify Fitbit when the Amazfit GTR 4 looks better, lasts longer, and does far more than you’d expect. The TR 4 may not win any design awards, but for an affordable watch it looks pretty good (especially compared to previous versions). Like the Garmin and Polar watches, the GTR 4 supports turn-by-turn directions. It’s easy to import your own routes – I used Komoot and Strava. When you’re out for a run, hike, or bike ride, you can enable turn-by-turn directions. It’s also rated to 5ATM for water resistance, which means you can jump into a pool with it. I wore it in the shower and while washing dishes with no issues.

I got about 10 days on a single Amazfit GTR 4 smartwatch battery charge I’m not an ultramarathoner or triathlete, so I can’t vouch for the GPS battery estimates.

And that’s just one side of the smartwatch. The GTR 4 also comes with a wealth of health and fitness features. You get in-depth sleep metrics and the ability to set a sleep schedule. It has period tracking, continuous heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen tracking, and stress tracking.

What’s impressive, however, is that the GTR 4 includes multi-band GPS – and at this price point. Multi-band GPS isn’t that common yet, and we’ve only started seeing it on fitness watches in the past year or so. In short, it utilizes both L1 and L5 satellite frequencies to provide more accurate GPS in challenging environments like cities or forests. I can’t think of another smartwatch in this price range that has multi-band GPS. Cheap smartwatches often have longer battery life than expensive ones. Usually, this is because they use dim, low-resolution screens that use less power. This isn’t the case with the GTR 4, but Amazfit claims a battery life of 7 days with heavy use (i.e. multi-band GPS, always-on display, etc.). You’ll get about 14 days with normal use. For endurance athletes, enabling multi-band GPS will get you about 25 hours of continuous use, while regular GPS will get you 44 hours. Bottom line — you’ll get more power than a flagship smartwatch.

That being said, I was able to get about 10 days of use on a single charge. Half of that time, I had the always-on display turned off and multi-band GPS enabled at all times. During my testing, I logged about 2.5 hours of GPS activity. Some smartwatches and fitness bands useAmazfit GTR 4 Smartwatch Battery

life longer, but with moderate use and an OLED display, 10 days is great. Charging time is not great. It took me about two hours to charge from zero to 100%. This is not the worst, but it stands out as more and more wearables now support fast

charging. I am not a fan of proprietary chargers, but again, this is a problem in the smartwatch industry.

Feature Overload

The GTR 4 has a ton of features. Depending on your needs, it might actually have too many. If I went into every single one, this review would easily be over 2,000 words. No one has time to write that—especially since Amazfit is more than happy to list all of them on its product page. It’s exhaustive.

Garmin Vivoactive 4/4S review: Another great sports smartwatch

The Vivoactive 4 is more refinement than revolution, but it’s good enough to be our favorite fitness smartwatch yet. The Vivoactive 4 features a completely revamped design, a host of new features (most notably music playback), and, most importantly, a lower price, making it one of the most attractive fitness smartwatches you can currently buy.

Garmin Vivoactive 4/4S Smart Watch Battery Garmin

review: What you need to know

One of the most notable changes to the Vivoactive 4 compared to its predecessor is that it now comes in two sizes, with the 40mm “S” model aimed at users with smaller wrists. This smaller device is lighter and cheaper than your average 45mm smartwatch, but it also lasts less on a single charge.

Inspired by the Vivoactive 3 Music, the watch now comes standard with music playback, including offline storage for Spotify and Deezer. It offers animated guided workouts, which combined with Garmin’s “coaching” tools make the Vivoactive 4 a better choice for runners and fitness novices than previous devices.

There are a host of other new features, such as Garmin’s Body Garmin Vivoactive 4/4S Batteryfeature and blood oxygen monitoring, which build on the core fitness tracking features of Garmin’s fitness wearables, which include GPS, heart rate tracking and sleep tracking. Garmin Pay is also supported thanks to its NFC chip, although only a few UK banks have signed up to the service.

Garmin Vivoactive 4/4S Smart Watch Battery Garminreview: design

As I mentioned in my Garmin Venu review, the only downside to the Garmin Vivoactive 3 was its unflattering design. It wasn’t ugly, but it wasn’t something you’d be eager to show off, either.

The Vivoactive 4 has largely addressed that, though. For a start, its screen is larger at 1.3 inches (versus 1.2 inches on the Vivoactive 3), and combined with slimmer bezels and slightly curved glass at the edges, the watch looks more refined than its predecessor. The screen isn’t an AMOLED panel like on the Venu, but a transflective Memory-in-Pixel display that’s legible in bright sunlight and, importantly, always on. Other major design changes are that the Vivoactive 4 has two buttons instead of one, and comes in two different sizes.

Garmin Vivoactive 4/4S Review: Major New Features

The standout new feature of both watches right now is undoubtedly music playback. This not only allows you to stream music files directly to the watch, but also connects to third-party services like Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer. While you’ll need a Premium subscription to do this, it’s a lot more convenient than streaming personal music files, which requires installing the Garmin Express app on your PC. Garmin Vivoactive 4/4S Review: Sport Tracking and Performance

In terms of the number of sports it can track, it’s far superior to any similarly priced device in the Forerunner range. Sadly, it doesn’t have open water swimming or triathlon modes. Garmin Vivoactive 4/4S Review: Conclusion

Depending on how you feel about features like BodySmart Watch Battery Garmin and music playback, upgrading from the already excellent Vivoactive 3 might not be a top priority. But happily, by adding Spotify support and improving the look of the watch, Garmin has addressed most people’s minor complaints about the old device.

Beyond these tweaks, the Vivoactive 4 includes a host of handy new features, such as hydration and period tracking, and animated guided workouts. Considering the relatively low price, there’s little not to like; as far as sports watches go, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better offering.

Apple Watch SE The best value Apple Watch

Apple made an interesting move in 2020 by launching a lower-priced Apple Watch designed to expand the use of the Apple Watch to other family members. The latest version of the Apple Watch SE starts at just $249, making it a worthwhile wearable if you’re an iPhone user.

Emery Wright, former ZDNET associate editor, wears an Apple Watch to track her steps, check notifications, and keep an eye on her schedule. She said it helps her keep accurate track of her running distance and pace as she trains for her next half marathon.

With the Apple Watch, iPhone users can take calls, receive notifications, and send messages simply by wearing it on their wrist. That’s why Dr. Richard Newman, MD, a head and neck surgical oncologist, prefers to wear an Apple Watch over a Garmin Watch in his daily life.

It also comes with an enhanced Workout app that gives you access to custom workouts and advanced metrics like heart rate zones, stride length, length, and vertical oscillation. Ultimately, the latest version of the Apple Watch SE proves that great functionality can come in a small package.

Apple Watch SE Tech Specs: Display: 368 x 448 pixel OLED |

Apple Watch SE Battery

Life: 18 hours | Dimensions: 44 x 38 x 10.7 mm | Weight: 36.5 g (aluminum) | Water resistance: 50 meters | LTE cellular option: Yes The Apple Watch SE is water resistant up to 50 meters and supports Apple Pay via skin authentication like previous models. While it lacks ECG and blood oxygen monitoring, it has the same optical heart rate sensor, gyroscope, and accelerometer, so it can monitor steps, calories burned, stairs climbed, and heart rate. It can also track sleep, prevent falls with fall detection, make emergency calls with SOS, check direction with a compass, and prevent excessive sounds with sound detection.

Both the Apple Watch SE battery and Series 9 have 18 hours of Apple Watch Series 9 battery life, but the Apple Watch Series 9 charges faster, providing up to 8 hours of sleep tracking with just 8 minutes of charging. The Apple Watch SE can take advantage of a new low-power mode to extend the Apple Watch SE battery life further, but at the expense of disabling certain features.

The Series 9 also has a crash detection feature that uses an updated gyroscope and accelerometer and advanced sensor fusion algorithms to detect serious car crashes and alert emergency services. In the event of a crash, Apple Watch contacts the user and, if no response is received within a 10-second countdown, contacts emergency responders.

ASUS ZenWatch 2 Review: An Affordable Android Wear Smartwatch

ZenWatch 2 introduction and specificationsWhile it still hasn’t attracted consumers as well as some manufacturers had hoped, the smartwatch market is growing rapidly and there are many great options out there right now. For some users, price may be one of the key factors that prevents them from purchasing a smartwatch. While many watches cost at least $250, and some are hundreds of dollars more, Asus’ latest ZenWatch 2, which we’ll show you here, costs as little as $129.

Of course, whenever we see an affordable smartphone, laptop, tablet, or smartwatch, we assume they are sacrifices made to keep the price low. In the case of the ZenWatch 2, that’s true to an extent, but you might be pleasantly surprised by all the features it offers, including different size options, interchangeable bands, and lots of other customizations. ZenWatch 2 is available in two sizes for both men and women: 49mm with a 22mm strap, and 45mm with an 18mm strap. Asus also offers three case colors for the watch itself (bronze, silver, rose gold), as well as a color-matched stainless steel band. For those who prefer leather straps, you can choose from khaki, brown, gray or blue. Sporty types will also appreciate the rubber strap options, available in blue, orange, red, and taupe. We have the smaller 45mm model here with a khaki leather strap for testing.

For even greater customization, ASUS allows you to create your own watch faces or choose from one of many pre-designed options. You can also download other watch faces from the Google Play Store.
Asus has made some improvements to the ZenWatch 2 compared to the first-generation ZenWatch, including a new magnetic charger for better Asus ZenWatch 2 battery charging times, and a new digital crown on the side of the case to give users a way to interact with the watch. New way. The ZenWatch 2’s display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 3, and the watch maintains an IP67 water resistance rating.

Over the next few pages, we’ll take a closer look at the device and see how the Asus ZenWatch 2 performs, even against pricier watches. First, let’s take a look at the specs…

As you can see, the ZenWatch 2 is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 512MB of RAM, along with 4GB of storage. Our slightly smaller 1.45-inch model has a 280×280 display at 273ppi. All of this runs on a 300mAh Asus ZenWatch 2 battery. The watch has an angled base that tapers towards the wrist.
