OPPO Find X8 series confirmed to use high-density silicon-carbon anode batteries

According to previous rumors from Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, the Oppo Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and Find X8 Ultra will feature 5,600 mAh, 5,700 mAh, and 6,100 or 6,200 mAh batteries, respectively. For comparison, the Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra both feature 5,000 mAh batteries.

The OPPO Find series product manager also revealed that the OPPO Glacier OPPO Find battery

achieved the industry’s highest 6% negative electrode silicon carbon content. Technically, the higher the silicon content, the higher the energy density should be.

Of course, increasing the proportion of anode silicon has its limitations, and it is good to see that smartphone manufacturers are pushing the limits to provide longer battery life without sacrificing the handheld experience. According to the company’s head, Oppo has been working with CATL (one of China’s lithium-ion battery manufacturers) and has developed a battery technology cooperation plan for the next 1-3 years.
